State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo endorsed Democratic candidate William Thompson for mayor today.
The endorsement happened while Thompson was welcomed in the Bronx by State Senator Ruben Diaz Sr. and the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization.
Cuomo told the assembly, “Bill Thompson’s years of dedicated public service, his vision for a better future for our City, and his commitment to improving the lives of working families are among the reasons why Bill is ready to lead New York during these difficult economic times.”
Thompson said it was an honor to have Cuomo’s support.
Meanwhile, Mayor Michael Bloomberg is talking to volunteers at his Brooklyn campaign office today.
