A federal judge has revoked bail for former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, who is awaiting trial on corruption charges.
The judge said during a three-hour pre-trial conference today that he was revoking the $500,000 bail because Kerik disclosed private information about the trial to an attorney, who then leaked the information to the Washington Post. The information was not published.
Kerik is accused of accepting apartment renovations from a construction company in exchange for recommending them for city contracts. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges, among others.
His trial is expected to begin Monday.
