Posted by A 9-year-old boy was struck and killed in Queens on Tuesday by a bus that was being used in campaign activities for Michael P. Ricatto, a candidate in a special City Council election. The driver had a suspended license, the police said.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Cross Bay Boulevard and Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park just after 3:30 p.m. .
The boy, Ibrihim Ahmed of Queens, was struck as he entered the intersection, the police said. The boy was unconscious when emergency medical technicians arrived and they soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
